Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is an adjustable gripper assembly of a knitting machine, comprising a gripper base. A plurality of independent gripper pieces are arranged in the gripper base; each gripper piece is provided with a plurality of needles which are obliquely inserted in parallel; two longitudinally-arranged long kidney-shaped holes are formed on each gripper piece; an upper roller pin shaft and a lower roller pin shaft are fixed to the gripper base; the upper roller pin shaft and the lower roller pin shaft penetrate through the two long kidney-shaped holes in each gripper piece, respectively, such that the gripper pieces are sequentially arranged on the upper roller pin shaft and the lower roller pin shaft in a penetrating mode; a tension spring mounting shaft is further fixed on the gripper base; a plurality of first tension springs are arranged on the tension spring mounting shaft and have one-to-one correspondence to the gripper pieces; and one end of each first tension spring is fixed on the tension spring mounting shaft, and the other end is fixed on the corresponding gripper piece. According to the present invention, the gripper assembly is minimally unitized, the gripper pieces are mutually independent, and the long kidney-shaped holes provide spaces for the gripper pieces to continue to move downwards, such that the gripper pieces are located at different traction positions under different knitting requirements.
