The purpose of the present invention is to provide an actuator having excellent responsiveness compared to an actuator in which a plurality of assemblies to be disposed inside a casing are stacked alone in an axial direction, and an open/close valve mechanism.　An actuator 10 of the present invention comprises: a casing 20, a shaft body 30 disposed inside the casing 20, and formed with a long hole LH and a plurality of exhaust holes EH; a plurality of assemblies 40 arranged to correspond to the plurality of exhaust holes EH, respectively, each assembly 40 having a partition body 42 and a piston body 44, and forming a closed space with each partition body 42, each partition body 42 abutting an inner circumferential surface of the casing 20 over the entire circumference while allowing penetration of the shaft body 30, each piston body 44 allowing the shaft body 30 to penetrate therethrough; a biasing body 50 for biasing a piston body 44H from an upper end side toward a lower end side; and a push rod 60 connected to an opposite side of the shaft body 30 with respect to an opening of the shaft body 30. An open/close valve mechanism 110 comprises the actuator 10, a valve body 70, and a body 80, and has a function of controlling communication and shut-off of fluid.
