Abstract:
An actuator where the dimensions of an actuator installation section are reduced
as much as possible to construct the device compact and mechanical rigidity (servo
rigidity) of the actuator is enhanced. To achieve this, the actuator has a hydraulic
cylinder and a trunnion universal joint. The trunnion universal joint has an
installation shaft, a holding member, and a support member. The holding member
is provided on the installation shaft so as to be rotatable about the shaft and
projects in the direction of the axis of the installation shaft. The support member
is supported in a space of the holding member so as to be swingable in the direction
perpendicular to the direction of rotation of the holding member and supports
the hydraulic cylinder.
