Abstract:
Provided is a low-power-consumption, small-form-factor active valve, the channel of which has sufficiently-large cross-sectional area. Also provided is a low-power-consumption, small-form-factor fluid control device that fills an air-storage unit with compressed air and is capable of expelling air from said air-storage unit rapidly. Said fluid control device (100) is connected to a cuff (109) and provided with a piezoelectric pump (101) and the abovementioned active valve (103). Said active valve (103) uses pumping action to suction in outside air through an intake (107B), increasing the pressure in a pump chamber (145), and a diaphragm (108) seals a release-valve hole (32). The piezoelectric pump (101) also uses pumping action to suction in outside air through another intake (107A) and send said air through an outlet (55) to the cuff (109). When both pumps stop, the diaphragm opens (108) and the air in the cuff (109) is rapidly expelled through a release hole (107C) via the aforementioned release-valve hole (32) and a connecting hole (34).
