Abstract:
A production device (10) according to the present invention for producing an absorbent sheet (1) by using dry fiber sheets (2, 3) without using a wet papermaking facility for the fiber sheets (2, 3), said production device being equipped with a dryer part (30), a crepe processing part (40), and two transport paths (11, 21), wherein a laminate sheet (5) is formed by joining the fiber sheet (2) which travels along the transport path (11) and the fiber sheet (3) which travels along the transport path (21) at a confluence position (CP), and said laminate sheet is heated and dried by the dryer part (30). The production device (10) is equipped with: a liquid application means (15) for applying an aqueous liquid to the fiber sheet (2) on the upstream side of the dryer part (30) in the sheet transport direction (MD); and a polymer spraying means (16) which sprays a water-absorbent polymer (4) onto one surface of the fiber sheet (2) and is positioned between the liquid application means (15) and the fiber sheet (2, 3) confluence position (CP).
