Abstract:
The present invention relates to a 3D vibration damping apparatus which is located between a bottom plate of equipment and a floor surface for installation and safely protects the equipment placed thereon by damping vibratory ground motions delivered from the floor surface. The 3D vibration damping apparatus using a frictional damper and a horizontality maintaining unit comprises: the horizontality maintaining unit having a hexahedral frame structure with a certain thickness and a certain area so as to be coupled to the lower side of the equipment, and including a flat upper plate and a lower plate having the same dimensions as the upper plate, wherein the lower plate has an upper surface coupled to the upper plate and a lower surface coupled to the floor surface; and frictional damper assemblies embedded vertically in the upper and lower plates of the horizontality maintaining unit and corner portions of the floor surface so as to damp vibrations of the equipment. Therefore, by damping vibrations after separating vibrations and impacts caused due to an earthquake or diastrophism in the horizontal and vertical directions, the 3D vibration damping apparatus can protect the equipment installed thereon and implement a safe driving function and a stopping function.
