Abstract:
To provide a spool valve that facilitates manufacturing and reduces wear of seal members.SOLUTION: A spool valve comprises a valve chest 2, piston chambers 3a and 3b, a plurality of ports, a valve element 11, a piston part, a first flow passage, and seal members 8 and 9. The valve element 11 is made of a cylindrical metal pipe coaxial with the valve chest 2 and having a uniform thickness. The valve element 11 comprises a small-diameter part 12 having a smaller diameter than an inside diameter of the valve chest 2 and forming the first flow passage between the valve element 11 and an inner peripheral surface of the valve chest 2, a large-diameter part 13 for closing the flow passage by coming into contact with the seal members 8 and 9, and an expanded part 14 expanded from the small-diameter part 12 to the large-diameter part 13. The expanded part 14 connects the small-diameter part 12 and the large-diameter part 13 with a smooth curved surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
