Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction apparatus of a metal and reduction method of the metal, with which a metal oxide to be reduced is efficiently electrolytically reduced.SOLUTION: A reduction apparatus 1 of a metal, in which an oxide of a target metal 4 being a metal to be reduced is reduced, has; a molten salt 2; a cathode 12 in contact with a target object 18 containing the target metal 4 in the molten salt 2; an anode 13 installed in the molten salt 2; a power supply 14 to apply voltage to the anode 13 and the cathode 12; a molten metal 3 in which the target metal 4 is dissolved; and a target object transfer means 19 to transfer the target object 18 from the inside of the molten salt 2 into the molten metal 3 or from the inside of the molten metal 3 into the molten salt 2.
