The utility model provides a gear device and a gear transmission motor, and the gear device is provided with an output shaft extending along an output axis; a gear set supported by the output shaft so as to be movable in the rotational direction and the axial direction; a flange portion provided on the outer peripheral surface of the output shaft and located on one side in the axial direction of the gear set; an elastic member located on the other side of the gear set in the axial direction; and an intermediate gear that rotates about an intermediate axis parallel to the output axis, meshes with the gear set, and transmits power. A mountain portion and a valley portion which are engaged in the axial direction are respectively provided on mutually facing surfaces of the flange portion and the gear set. The gear set has a pair of gears arranged in the axial direction and having a greater number of teeth on one side than the other side. The pair of gears are rotatable relative to each other and are in contact on surfaces facing each other. The elastic member presses the mountain portion against the valley portion and applies a surface pressure between the pair of gears.
