Abstract:
To provide a drum brake capable of detecting an abrasion state of a brake lining with high accuracy while reducing a running cost.SOLUTION: A drum brake comprises an abrasion detection device 7 that has: a rotation sensor 72 that detects a rotation amount of a sleeve 55 around an axial direction; a rotation speed calculation unit 76 that integrates and stores the rotation speed of the sleeve 55 based on the rotation amount detected by the rotation sensor 72; and an abrasion determination unit 77 that detects the abrasion of a brake lining based on the rotation speed of the sleeve 55 calculated by the rotation speed calculation unit 76.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
