Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device capable of protecting an electric coupling from external forces such as a flying stone, etc. and splashed water.SOLUTION: A rear wheel drive device includes a case having an extension part 72a of a lid member 72, which extends in a substantially horizontal direction from an outer wall surface 72b of the lid member 72 constituting a side surface of the case, and on which an oil discharge passage that communicates first and second cooling/lubricating passages formed in the case with an electric oil pump 70. The electric oil pump 70 is arranged at an end part 72a1 of the extension part 72a of the lid member 72 so as to extend above the extension part 72a in a substantially vertical direction. A wire 89a which supplies power to a solenoid valve 85, and a coupler 87 which is disposed on the wire 89a are arranged in a space T surrounded by three surfaces, that is, the outer wall surface 72b of the lid member 72, an upper surface 72a2 of the extension part 72a of the lid member 72, and an inside surface 70a of the electric oil pump 70 facing the outer wall surface 72b of the lid member 72.
