Abstract:
To heat an object to be heated by a method other than a heater.SOLUTION: A drive unit 100 comprises an electric motor 2, a torque converter 3, and a control unit 4. The torque converter 3 comprises an impeller 32 and a turbine 33. Torque from the electric motor 2 is input to the impeller 32. Torque is transmitted to the turbine 33 from the impeller 32 via a working fluid. The control unit 4 is configured so as to execute a heating mode. The control unit 4 rotates the impeller 32 while fixing the turbine 33 in the heating mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
