Abstract:
To prevent intrusion of a liquid gasket applied to joining surfaces of engine components into an oil groove of a bearing surface supporting a crank shaft.SOLUTION: A groove 14 extending in an axial direction of a crank shaft over the entire length of a joining surface 9 is formed between a passing part of a bolt member 10 and an oil groove 6 of a bearing surface 5, with respect to each of the joining surfaces 9 disposed at both sides of the bearing surface 5 of a bearing portion 4 of a cylinder block 1 rotatably holding a bearing portion 3 of the crank shaft 2. Thus, a liquid gasket G pressed by the joining surfaces 9 of two cylinder blocks 1 and protruded from the joining surfaces 9, flows into the grooves 14 between the passing part of the bolt member 10 and the oil groove 6. The groove 14 is configured so that a depth of the groove 14 is reduced at the bolt member passing part, and the depth is so deep as to be away from the bolt member passing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
