Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a steering boot with which it is possible to achieve a reduction in cost while maintaining sealing properties, ease of installation, prevention of positional displacement after band fastening, installed state visibility, and ease of identification of external appearance. In order to achieve this objective, the present invention provides a steering boot which is provided with a small-diameter annular attachment portion, a bellows portion, and a large-diameter annular attachment portion, and which is installed on a tie rod, characterized in that the small-diameter annular attachment portion is provided with a boot band fastening region for fastening securely to an installation target member using a boot band, and is provided with an inner annular projecting portion formed on an inner circumferential surface of the small-diameter annular attachment portion in the boot band fastening region, a slit extending from an open end of the small-diameter annular attachment portion to a position in which the inner annular projecting portion exists, and at least one annular protrusion formed on the inner circumferential surface of the small-diameter annular attachment portion in the boot band fastening region.
