Abstract:

To provide a wooden fixing element which can increase pressing force while keeping frictional force and which can further strengthen the connection between members.

The wooden fixing element comprises a thin shaft portion 7 to be fitted in an attachment hole 3 and a small-diameter portion 4 of a through hole 6, and a thick shaft portion 9 to be fitted in a large-diameter portion 5 of the through hole 6. The thick shaft portion 9 is coaxially integrally formed with the thin shaft portion 7 and includes a stepped portion 8 formed between the thin shaft portion 7 and itself. The length of the thick shaft portion 9 is made larger than the depth D of the large-diameter portion 5 of the through hole 6. The portion of the thick shaft portion 9 projecting from the large-diameter portion 5 may be cut. An outer peripheral edge 10 of the stepped portion 8 of the thick shaft portion 9 is chamfered.
