Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a wheel hub/constant velocity universal joint unit capable of using a double row bearing of high density free to purely install in the axial direction and capable of favourable connection suitable for setting a preload of the bearing.
CONSTITUTION: A double row wheel bearing is provided, it has a common bearing outer ring 16, an end sleeve 5 of a joint member 4 is fitted on a wheel hub 1 and connected to the wheel bearing while adding a preload in the axial direction on the wheel bearing, and this connection is formed of welded parts 23, 24 provided in a range of an insertion joint between the end sleeve 5 on the outside of the joint member 4 and the wheel hub 1 on the inside.
