To provide a wheel motor for incorporating both an electric motor and a brake device, and restraining heat transfer between the electric motor and the brake device.

The wheel motor 1 includes: the electric motor 2 having a stator 21, and a rotor 22 disposed to the stator 21 to rotate freely and provided with a motor shaft 26; a reduction gear 3 provided with an output shaft 34 to which wheels provided at a vehicle are linked for decelerating rotation of the motor shaft 26 and outputting decelerated rotation from the output shaft; and a brake device 4 applying brake force to rotation of the wheels. The reduction gear 3 is disposed between the electric motor 2 and the brake device 4.
