Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel brake testing device capable of easily measuring and processing a number of various data at the time of brake operation.
SOLUTION: In this device 1, a wheel 5 is non-rotatably mounted on a shaft 4 extended between frames 2, 3, and a collar 7, which can be rotated via a bearing 6, is provided on the outer peripheral part of the shaft 4 near the wheel 5, with a brake system 14 mounted on the collar 7 and rotated integrally with the collar 7. A slider 10 which can slide axially is provided on the outer peripheral part of the collar 7, and a brake cable inner 17 is pulled by the movement of the slider 10, so that a brake shoe 21 is expanded via a brake arm 18 and a brake cam 20 to cause brake operation. The force applied to the wheel 5, temperature, vibration, sound, etc., are measured using sensors mounted on the wheel 5.
