Abstract:
To provide a vehicle software updating system which completes the software update before a user returns to a vehicle regardless of a movement speed of the user while suppressing lengthening of a period in which software cannot be updated.SOLUTION: In a signal processing method, when determining whether or not update is possible by comparing a vehicle-user distance Lvu with an update possible distance R, the update possible distance R is set longer when a travel speed Vu of a user is large based on a safety factor Fs as compared with a case where the travel speed Vu is small, and the software update is permitted when the vehicle-user distance Lvu is longer than the update possible distance R (S5, S6). Therefore, there is high possibility that the software update is completed before the user returns to the vehicle regardless of the travel speed Vu of the user. When the travel speed Vu of the user is small, the update possible distance R becomes relatively shorter, thereby the update possible distance R becomes longer than necessary so as to suppress a period in which the software cannot be updated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
