Abstract:
To excellently specify a position or a behavior of a head of an occupant seated on a seat in a vehicle on the basis of imaged images by an occupant monitoring device.SOLUTION: An occupant monitoring device 50 for monitoring an occupant seated on a seat 5 provided in a vehicle 1 comprises: a light projection device 54 for projecting light to the occupant seated on the seat 5; an imaging device 53 for imaging the occupant seated on the seat 5; and a processing part 31 which images the occupant seated on the seat 5 by controlling the light projection device 54 and the imaging device 53. When a collision of the vehicle 1 is predicted, the processing part 31 makes continuous light from the light projection device 54 be projected toward the occupant who is imaged by the imaging device 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
