PURPOSE: To provide a compact valve operating under a high pressure by providing a valve element pin having a cross-sectional area smaller than that of a spool pin, in a valve element adapted to be pressed by a spool.

CONSTITUTION: A valve element pin 18 is provided in one end part of a valve element 11 adapted to be pressed by a spool 4 provided therein with a spool pin 5, on the side remote from a valve seat 8. The cross-sectional area of the valve element pin 18 is made to be equal to or less than that of the spool pin 5. Accordingly, even though the pressure of flowing fluid is increased to any value within an practical range, the force of an actuator 17 has not to increase, and accordingly, it is possible to provide a compact valve processing high pressure fluid.
