Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the erosion rate of a valve plug and a seat ring, and extend the service life of a valve.
CONSTITUTION: A valve stem 12 is fitted with a valve plug 30 having a flowrate control section 31 formed on a part of the outer surface thereof. In this case, the valve stem 12 is fitted in such a way as freely movable in a vertical direction and freely rotatable, so as to rotate by an angle approximately θ/2 smaller than one revolution (i.e., 360 degrees-θ/2), while moving up or down along a valve body, provided that an opening angle at the breadth of the section 31 is θ for rated lift.
