Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to work with safety without requiring many work holes,by bringing to the place of installation iron pipes in such a condition that their both ends in the circumferental direction are not joined but overlapped and their diameters are shrunk and by stretching and joining the ends at the place of installation. CONSTITUTION:In a manufacturing plant, iron pipe 10 is manufacted in such a way that its ends 11 and 12 in the circumferential direction are not joined but overlapped and its diameter is shrunk within the elastic range of its material. Iron pipe 10 mounted on a truck is carried to the place of installation through dug shafts and other underground tunnels. Then, iron pipe 10 is restored to its original shape by stretching its diameter by means of an oil-pressure jack mounted on the truck in such a manner that its radius is extended uniformly in all radial directions with the center of the underground tunnel as its center. Then, it fitting directions are adjusted,and its both ends 11 and 12 in the circumferential direction are joined. Joint 13 is welded along the axial direction. By this, work safety and structural precision are secured.
