To facilitate the switching operation of a pattern switching valve without using a special purpose tool and to efficiently dispose the pattern switching valve near an engine.
A pattern switching valve 49 is disposed while utilizing a large space in an engine room 43, so that even a small hydraulic backhoe can accommodate the pattern switching valve 49. A bonnet 42 for opening/closing the engine room 43 is provided with a hood opening/closing device 44 provided with a lock, so that the improvident switching operation of the pattern switching valve 49 can be prevented by fixing the bonnet 42 in the closed state. The switching operation of the pattern switching valve 49 can thereby be performed by a previously fitted switching lever 49B without preparing a special tool.
