Abstract:
To provide a turbo type fluid machine capable of effectively cooling a foil bearing without making the axial body large.SOLUTION: A second plate 16 which partitions the inside of a housing 11 into a first impeller chamber 13b where a first impeller 25 is housed and a thrust bearing housing chamber S2 where a thrust foil bearing 30 is housed comprises a support part 60 which has an end face 60a protruding axially toward a third supported part 24d. In the end face 60a of the support part 60, a grooved passage 61 is recessed which extends radially up to an outer peripheral surface. One foil bearing 30 is fitted to the end face 60a of the support part 60 so that the position of the passage 61 corresponds to the position of a gap between bump foils 32 and the position of a gap between top foils 32 and the third supported part 24d and the passage 61 face each other in the axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
