Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal which can be used for both inner and outer sides of a tube, by providing pressure means by which elements are pushed to the tube, to a tightly closing mechanism forming a part of a closing ring by being equipped with a plurality of elements whose thickness is increased in a radial direction, and which is slidably brought into contact with the tube.
SOLUTION: In the circumferential of a tube 10 inserted in a sleeve 1 having an insert end 2, a part of a rubber ring 12 equipped to a closing mechanism 3 for forming a seal, is arranged between the tube 10 and an arched or wedged element 4. At least some arched or wedged elements 4 are equipped with rough surfaces 13 partially brought into contact with the tube 10, and form an appropriate closing front part against the wall of the tube 10. Pressure means 8, 9, 11 for the wedged elements 4 can be moved in a mutual direction under the influence of a coupling 8, and equipped with two supporting surfaces 9 and 11 by which force is applied to the wedged elements 4 sent toward the tube 10 by the movement of the pressure means 8, 9, 11.
