Abstract:
To provide a torque converter capable of reducing stress concentration to a portion where a boss is buried in a front cover.SOLUTION: A torque converter 1 is configured such that a boss 23 for mounting an engine-side drive plate 22 is embedded in a front cover 8 formed of an aluminum-based material. The boss 23 and the drive plate 22 are joined via a ball joint 24 that freely moves so as to suppress bending load generated between the drive plate 22 and the front cover 8 while transmitting the power from the engine side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
