Abstract:
To provide a torque converter which can amplify rotational power regardless of a rotary direction of rotary power input thereto.SOLUTION: A torque converter includes a pump impeller 10, a turbine runner 20 and a stator 30. The turbine runner 20 comprises: first turbine blades 21a which guide a working fluid to one side in a circumferential direction of the turbine runner 20; and second turbine blades 21b which guide the working fluid to the other side. The first turbine blades 21a and the second turbine blades 21b are alternately disposed in the circumferential direction of the turbine runner 20. The stator 30 comprises: first stator blades 31a which guide the working fluid to one side in a circumferential direction of the stator 30; and second stator blades 31b which guide the working fluid to the other side. The first stator blades 31a and the second stator blades 31b are alternately disposed in the circumferential direction of the stator 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
