Abstract:
To restrain deformation of an outer shell of a torque converter.SOLUTION: An outer shell of a torque converter 100 constituted by a cover 2 and an impeller shell 31 includes an expanded portion 23, and a thick portion 24. The expanded portion 23 is provided on a cover 2, and is expanded in an axial direction. The thick portion 24 forms an apex of the expanded portion 23, and extends in a circumferential direction. The thick portion 24 is thicker than a portion adjacent to the thick portion 24. An outer peripheral portion arranged in a radial outer side of the thick portion 24 is thicker than an inner peripheral portion arranged in a radial inner side of the thick portion 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
