Abstract:
To provide a torque converter which can obtain a high torque ratio without complicating a configuration and without enlarging a device.SOLUTION: A torque converter 1 includes an impeller 10, first and second turbines 21, 22, first and second stators 31, 32, and a turbine hub 40. Torque is input to the impeller 10. Working fluid from the impeller 10 flows into the first turbine 21. Working fluid from the first turbine 21 flows into the first stator 31, and a direction of the working fluid is changed. The working fluid from the first stator 31 flows into the second turbine 22, and the second turbine 22 rotates in the same direction as the first turbine 21. The working fluid from the second turbine 22 flows into the second stator 32, a direction of the working fluid is changed, and the working fluid is guided to the impeller 10. The turbine hub 40 outputs torque from the first and second turbines 21, 22 to an output side member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
