Abstract:
To achieve weight reduction of a torque converter.SOLUTION: A torque converter 100 includes a torque converter body 11 and a first fiber-reinforced composite part 51. The torque converter body 11 has a front cover 1, an impeller 2, and a turbine 3. Torque is input to the front cover 1 from an engine side member. The impeller 2 has an impeller shell 21 which is provided so as to integrally rotate with the front cover 1. The turbine 3 has a turbine shell 31 which is disposed facing the impeller shell 21. The first fiber-reinforced composite part 51 covers the front cover 1 and the impeller shell 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
