Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter stator manufacturing method capable of easily, appropriately preventing faults such as a fault that an outer race of a one-way clutch incorporated into a stator body housing is distorted into a state in which a lower portion is reduced as compared with an upper portion.SOLUTION: A torque converter stator manufacturing method includes a pressure-fitting step of pressure-fitting an outer race 20 of a one-way clutch 2 into a cylindrical wall portion 10 of a stator body housing 1, an element that has an outward inclined surface 25 inclined to be closer to an outer circumferential surface of the outer race 20 at a lower portion and that is provided in an upper portion of the element is used as the outer race 20, an element having a pressing portion 45 corresponding to the inclined surface 25 is used as a press-fit jig 4, and the upper portion of the outer race 20 is pressed inward in a radial direction of the outer race 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
