Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter device which enables improvement of vehicle start performance especially at a highland.SOLUTION: A torque converter device includes a pump impeller 12 connected with an output shaft of an engine, a turbine runner 14 connected with an input shaft of a transmission, and a stator 16 disposed between the pump impeller 12 and the turbine runner 14. The torque converter device includes a stator shaft 21 connected to the stator 16, a torque cam 20 disposed at an axial end part on an axis of the stator shaft 21, and a biasing part 26 which biases the stator 16 in a direction in which the torque cam 20 is arranged. When the stator shaft 21 is rotated by torque acting on the stator 16 through a working fluid, the torque cam 20 moves the stator 16 along the axis according to a rotation angle of the stator shaft 21 relative to the torque cam 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
