Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the weight increase and a large size of a transmission when a pre-load is given between a pair of input and output disks in each speed change unit, in a toroidal continuously variable transmission in which first and second speed change units, respectively having a pair of input and output disks and rollers arranged between these disks, are arranged in parallel on the same shaft.
CONSTITUTION: Fellow input disks 33a and 33b are adjoiningly arranged between respective output disks 34a and 34b in first and second speed change units 31 and 32. The followings are provided between these input disks 33a and 33b: a disc spring 61, pushing one side input disk 33b to an output disk 34b in the disk side speed change unit 32 of the disk 33b, and a linking member 60, pushing the other side input disk 33a to an output disk 34a in the disk side speed change unit 31 of the disk 33a by receiving energization reaction force with the disk spring 61.
