Abstract:
To provide a toroidal type stepless speed change device that can prevent a ball of a ball spline coupling a shaft and a first disk from falling, and is good in assemblability, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A toroidal type stepless speed change device comprises: an insertion member 40 which is inserted at least in part between an outer-diameter surface of an input shaft 1 and an inner-diameter surface of an input-side disk 2 from an axial end opening 2b of the input-side disk to block at least a part of ends of ball spline grooves 6a, 6b of a ball spline 6; and restriction means 50 which restricts the insertion member 40 from moving at least in an axial direction of the input shaft 1 and away from the ball spline grooves 6a, 6b. The insertion member 40 is formed in a cylindrical shape to enable the input shaft 1 to be inserted, and can be disassembled and assembled in a radial direction of the input shaft 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
