Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a separating mechanism which accurately operates without being affected by ambient temperature by forming the casing of a life-line separating device which holds a fixed cable for fixing a life buoy to a hull, with a heat insulating material. CONSTITUTION:A container in which a life buoy is contained, is placed on an inclined frame 3 fixed on a hull 2, and is fixed on the frame 3 by means of a fixed cable 4 via a life buoy separating mechanism 5. This life buoy separating mechanism 5 has a diaphragm 6 which operates by sensing the flow-in pressure of water resulting from submergence, and the casing 7 of the diaphragm 6 is formed by a heat insulating material 11 which is insusceptible to water. Since the casing 7 is formed by a heat insulating material, the inside of the casing 7 is rarely affected by the ambient temp. and pressure variation does not take place in the closed chamber 10 due to ambient temp., thereby, without causing any erroneous operation of the diaphragm.
