Abstract:
PURPOSE:To usually hold the output shaft side without play, to make a brake action effective immediately after a rotation force is exerted, and to enable smooth rotation of an output shaft when control is conducted from the input side, by installing a rotatable cam shaft between guide pieces. CONSTITUTION:When a control member 21 is located in a neutral position in relation to a rotary member 19, and the respective one sides of guide pieces 16 and 17 are brought into contact with the peripheral surface of a cam shaft 18 from both sides to hold a hold a lock spring 13 in a condition that the spring is firmly adhered to the inner peripheral surface 12a of a brake drum 12. This prevents the guide pieces 16 and 17 from moving in any direction. With the control member 21 turned and controlled, the member turns about a coupling shaft 21a, and although the rotary member 19 is also about to rotate togetherwith said member, the rotary member is prevented from rotation since a projection 20 makes contact with the guide pieces 16 and 17. As a result, the control member 21 spins in relation to rotary member 19 against a return sping 22, and this causes driving of a gear 18c and forces the cam shaft 18 to rotate while maintaining its position.
