Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a small convergence device of high efficiency, for reproducing an accurate color image at a cathode-ray electron tube in which an in-line electron gun is stored.
CONSTITUTION: A convergence device has a structure of four sets of magnets for forming a static magnetic field, consisting of a quadrupole magnet 3, a purity magnet 4, a sextipolar magnet 5, and a quadrupole magnet 6. Convergence is adjusted accurately over the entire screen by adjusting the two quadrupole magnetic fields in a state that they are separated from one another at a distance, and by also adjusting special misconvergence of simple pattern, which is formed by the rotation of am electron gun.
