Title:
RECORDING AND REGENERATING CIRCUIT FOR PCM AUDIO SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS581385
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the waveform of a recording signal from being clipped, and to improve the S/N ratio, by adjusting the extent of emphasizing operation according to the amount of the high frequency component of the recording signal.

CONSTITUTION: A video signal inputted from an input terminal 6 is separated into a luminance signal component and a chrominance signal component, which after unnecessary high frequency components are eliminated, are supplied to a recording amplifier 15 through an adder 14. An audio signal inputted from an input terminal 16, on the other hand, is converted into a digital signal, which is stored in a memory 18 and converted into a quadratic signal by a converter 19. Further, the signal emphasized by a variable emphasizing circuit 20 and a fixed emphasizing circuit 21 is supplied as a modulated signal to an FM modulator 22, whose output is supplied to an amplifier 23. A switch circuit 24 is controlled in such a way that a head 25 records the video signal and a head 26 while scanning on an overlap part records the audio signal.
