PURPOSE: To elevate the production efficiency with an easier process of a pipe coupling by enabling automatic setting of a setting jig for an anticorrosive coupling held in a die by the operation of a cylinder to save a trouble of manually screwing the setting jig with the pipe joint.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is equipped with a die holding a pipe coupling inside, a setting jig having two jig bodies and a cylinder adapted to operate the setting jig in such a manner as to free to advance to or retract from an opening of the pipe coupling. Then, with the driving out and in of cylinder rods 30a and 30a, setting jigs 20 and 20 are operated in such a manner as to freely advance to or retract from openings 10a and 10a of a pipe coupling 10 whereby a resin layer 17 is formed on the circumference thereof 10. Then, an ejector pin 5 at the center of a cavity 2 of a lower die 1 is put out and the pipe coupling 10 is held into the cavity 2. With the driving out of the cylinder rods 30a and 30a, the setting jigs 20 and 20 are loaded into both open ends 10a and 10a of the pipe coupling 10. Then, the upper die is clamped with the lower die 1 and a synthetic resin or the like is injected into the cavities 2 of the upper and lower dies 1 with the ejector pin 5 drawn back to form a resin 17 on the circumference of the pipe coupling 10.
