Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-phase electromagnetic apparatus in which the magnetic circuit structure and the winding structure of a winding are simple, the number of windings is small, assembly is simple, space factor of the winding is large, and variable range of reactance is wide.SOLUTION: A three-phase electromagnetic apparatus has a cage-shaped magnetic core where both ends of six leg iron cores 3aa-3cb, disposed annularly and symmetrically at regular intervals, are coupled by a pair of annular yokes 3d, 3e, AC main windings 1aa-1cb wound around each leg iron core, and a DC control winding wound around the leg iron cores, and connected in series or parallel so as to cancel an electromotive force induced by a three-phase AC current flowing to the AC main winding of each phase. A DC control magnetic flux is generated by supplying a DC control current from the control circuit 4 to the control winding, magnetic resistance of a common magnetic path of main magnetic flux by a three-phase AC current supplied to the AC main winding and the DC control magnetic flux is controlled, thus varying the reactance of the main winding continuously.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
