Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a tensioner lever light in weight and easy to be manufactured, securing strength of the lever by constituting the tensioner lever for chain driving device by holding both the sides of a shoe made of wear resistant resin by a metallic arm.
SOLUTION: In a tensioner lever for normally imparting proper tension force to a chain wound on sprockets of a drive shaft and a driven shaft, arms 12, 12 are provided for keeping strength of the tensioner lever and is formed from a metallic plate which is curved in a bow shape. Resin with high wear resistance or an elastic body is used for a shoe 11 held by both of these arms 12, 12, the cross section is formed into a rough T-shape or an I-shape, and an outer peripheral part with which the chain directly comes into contact projects from the arms 12, 12 and erects guides at both the ends. The shoe 11 is held by both of the arms 12, 12 and the arms 12, 12 are fixed by bushes 13, 14 so as not to be separated in the state. Thus, the arms 12, 12 can be functioned as pads on which the tensioner is abutted.
