Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an assembling process and to reduce torque during opening by providing a communication hole for communicating rotary damper rooms with each other in the specified part of a partition part for connecting together a rotary damper pair in an axis direction.
SOLUTION: A tandem type rotary damper is composed of a cylindrical casing opened for its one end part and closed for the other end part and having first and second rooms 21 and 22 partitioned in an axial direction, and rotating members 31 and 32 a part of which is assembled in the rooms 21 and 22. Highly viscous fluid 5 having high viscosity, for example silicon oil, is charged and sealed into the cylindrical casing 2. Both rooms 21 and 22 are partitioned by a partition part 6 and the rotating member 31 is penetrated into a hole 6a. Also, circular-arc communication holes 6b and 6b for communicating the rooms 21 and 22 with each other are provided in the partition part 6 to have equal intervals. Thus, when a toilet bowl seat is opened, a bypass flow passage is formed by the communication holes 6b for the viscous fluid 5 and thereby torque during opening of the seat is reduced.
