Abstract:
To provide a device capable of enhancing throughput for processing a large amount of data, such as a video stream, a circuit, and a method.SOLUTION: In a streaming multiprocessor 200 in a GPU unit, a processor register file unit 220 forces the data processed by a processing core unit (PCU) 210 to be stored in a shared memory 240 as long as data can be further received according to a frequency level of the data. Frequently used data blocks are stored in a high-speed RAM of the processor. A stream of the received data is divided into a plurality of data portions and simultaneously transferred to the GPU streaming multiprocessor. The transferred data is simultaneously processed before the entire stream is loaded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
