To provide a switch device having a reduced thickness in the direction along the rocking axis of an operation knob.
The switch device 1-1 includes a case 10 having a contact storage unit 11 inside, a fixed contact body 40 and a movable contact support 50 installed on the bottom of the contact storage unit 11 of the case 10, a movable contact 70 rockingly journaled to the movable contact support 50 for approaching and separating to/from a fixed contact 45 of the fixed contact body 40, and the operation knob 150 installed on the upper part of the movable contact 70, and having an operation body 190 to be moved while abutting on the upper surface of the movable contact 70 for rocking operation of the movable contact 70. The operation body 190 has a resilient spring 187 and an resilient body 181 resiling with the resilient spring 187, both of which are stored in a resilient member storage unit 175 of the operation knob 150. The resilient body 181 is formed flat to reduce the thickness of the switch device 1-1.
