Title:
SUPERCONDUCTIVE MAGNETIC BEARING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3785096
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a rotation shaft without axial loss by keeping a permanent magnet in a ring shape and by equalizing the circumferential distribution of a magnetic field in rotation.
SOLUTION: The permanent magnet 4 is composed of a plurality of segment- like divided magnets 4a1 and 4a2 divided in the circumferential direction. Joint surfaces 4e of each divided magnet 4a1 are tilted in directions separating from each other as they are positioned radially outside, and joint surfaces 4e of each divided magnet 4a2 are tilted in directions closing to each other as they are positioned radially outside. The divided magnets 4a1 and 4a2 are brought into contact with the inside surface of a reinforcing ring 6a by centrifugal force in rotation to dispose them in a ring-like form without space with the joint surfaces 4e of the divided magnets 4a1 and 4a2 brought into contact with each other.
