Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETIC LEVITATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004331241
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To relatively increase strength of left and right/upper and lower springs and improve characteristics of levitation force/guide force to improve performance of a magnetic levitation system applicable to a conveyance system for floating and moving a floating object along a rail.

The ferromagnetic rail 1 is a long rail having substantially C-shaped cross section. It has a clearance part 1a along the longitudinal direction because its cross section is substantially C-shaped. A straight part of a superconducting coil 2 is surrounded by the ferromagnetic rail 1 and is arranged to give magnetic path in the direction for magnetic flux attempting to flow in the direction vertical for the longitudinal direction of the ferromagnetic rail 1 and generated by the superconducting coil 2. Magnetic shield bodies 3 provided by corresponding to the straight parts of the ferromagnetic rails 1, respectively, are arranged to cross the magnetic path in the clearance part 1a of the opposingly arranged ferromagnetic rails 1.
