Abstract:
To provide a super abrasive grain grinding wheel which easily improves the physical properties and demerits of super abrasive grain without degrading grinding capability, and prolongs the service life of the grinding wheel.
This super abrasive grain grinding wheel is formed by fixing diamond or CBN abrasive grain of which the surface is covered with thin membrane made of a material with low electric conductivity and excellent chemical resistance on a grinding wheel base surface by means of plating. The thin membrane of the super abrasive grain surface is made by either of titanium or its compound, and ceramic material. The thin membrane is formed on the super abrasive grain surface by a physical or chemical deposition method.
