A retainer 3 is attached to a projected piece 2 which projects from each of four corners, that are left, right, top and bottom, of a color cathode-ray tube 1 and a demagnetization coil 5 linked in a ring shape is hung on a hook 4 of these retainer 3. Tension is given to the demagnetization coil 5 by binding the portions of the demagnetization coil 5 that are hung on the hook 4 with a string straddling these positions of two hooks which are located at the diagonal positions among the hooks 4.
