Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device having a rolling bearing for supporting a steering shaft pivotally so as to rotate freely and upper and lower columns that are fitted in an axial direction so as to slide freely, and capable of improving stability of the steering wheel during high speed travel.SOLUTION: A band 421 is fastened so as to shrink diameter of a slip bearing part 42, and when friction is applied between a lower steering shaft 32 and a slip bearing 422, rotation torque of the lower steering shaft 32 and an upper steering shaft 31 become larger gradually. When the rotation torque of the lower steering shaft 32 and the upper steering shaft 31 reach to a predetermined value, fastening of the band is stopped.
